Home Wireless Network: How to manage your home wireless network

Managing a home wireless network and primarily involves the correct operation of the router. As the router acts as the central communications hub, it should normally be the first point of call for any errors. A simple reboot of the router can fix network problems. It is via the router software interface that users can be added to the network, or connection settings changed. This is also the place where all of the network security is defined.

Managing individual user’s computers is also important. They should be able to log on to the network successfully without any connection issues. Other resources such as shared printers should also be placed in a central location and managed accordingly.

It is best if one person takes on the role of the network administrator and manages the network.
