Home Wireless Network: How to set up a wireless home network

In order to set up a wireless home network the appropriate hardware and software must be determined and purchased. Normally one router is sufficient for all users in one house. It is a good option to go for a router with a built in modem, so Internet connection sharing can easily be achieved. For every user a wireless access PCMCIA card (for laptop users) or USB stick, or wireless access adaptor must be purchased. Once all the components are in place, the necessary manufacturer guidelines must be followed for installing the software. After software installation is complete the network must be configured for user access and secured against outside intrusions and attacks.
