Home Wireless Network: Setting up a wireless home network

Setting up a wireless home network involves three steps. The first is the configuration of the router, which can be performed by accessing the router’s web based software interface. Access is normally performed by typing the Internet address of ‘192.168.0.1’ in to a standard web browser and supplying the correct login information. The second step is to configure each workstation that is going to be connected to the network. Normally this involves software and driver installation, connecting the hardware and testing for network and Internet connectivity. The third and final step is to secure the network once everything else is working.
